Imprints

Mason Publishing Group publishes books through its two imprints:

George Mason University Press
is the externally-facing, peer-reviewed traditional print press, typically publishing authors outside the Mason community, serving the broader scholarly landscape. Peer-reviewed journals and repository collections are also published under this imprint.

123 Press
is the internally-facing, digital/print-on-demand press, typically publishing faculty and student scholarly books, serving Mason and the community, including Open Educational Resources (OER).

Book proposals for George Mason University Press have basic requirements for submission. Proposals for 123 Press are less formal, but providing similar information helps in determining fit, and department capacity relative to current project commitments. Details on proposal requirements are found on the submissions page.
